About me

Chloé Marchal is a passionate traveler, dedicated to connecting with people from all walks of life and sharing her unique experiences through the lens of her camera and her work in film.

Before establishing herself as a film producer, Chloé earned a Master’s degree in Film Studies from La Sorbonne in Paris, where her thesis explored the intersection of underground music, graphic art, and skate culture in 1980s and 90s Berlin, alongside its influence on contemporary cinema. Her academic focus on cultural connections and social issues led her to work as a photojournalist for International Journal, covering stories across Paris and Berlin, and eventually traveling the world. Her assignments have taken her to Turkey, Taiwan, Spain, Canada, the U.S., Germany, and beyond. Photography quickly became a passion, and she gained recognition as the official photographer for acclaimed artists like Leo Coltrane and Casey Baugh. Today, Chloé continues to exhibit her work in galleries, document events, capture behind-the-scenes moments, and collaborate with fellow artists. She has received international recognition for her photography and continues to expand her artistic horizons.

Chloé’s career trajectory has taken her from Paris to Berlin, New York, and Montréal, refining her expertise in the audiovisual industry across various film departments. Her roles have included Script Supervisor, Assistant Director, and Camera Operator, all of which provided her with an in-depth understanding of the inner workings of film production. This experience set the stage for her successful transition into producing, leading her to work with prestigious companies such as Arte, Interzone Pictures, and Cinema for Peace. Chloé later went on to independently produce a wide range of projects in New York, with notable successes including the TV programs Casey Baugh’s Masterclasses and An Artist Diary.

Now based in Montréal, Chloé continues to thrive as both a film producer and photographer, collaborating with renowned artists such as Klaus Maeck, Asia Marche, John Sears, Patrick Mason, Albert Dabbah, Roberto Rizzo, Ron Kain, and Gerard Schmidt, among others. Her diverse creative portfolio, spanning film and photography, reflects her commitment to capturing and producing stories that resonate with global audiences.
